Blessing of the Animals Multimedia Art Exhibit

Opens at Allens Lane Art Center

Art Exhibit Honors Nonhuman Animals with Proceeds to Benefit Katrina Animal Victims

This exhibit showcases work portraying human interactions with other animals at both extremes, from exploitation to exaltation. As humans, we treat some animals with the honor and respect of family members while others are treated as slaves to the entertainment and food industries. View artistsÕ individual interpretations of how we interface with other animals, each image with a profound message. Images include companion animals, wild animals and domestic farm animals portrayed in provocative juxtaposition to reveal ironies in our culture while celebrating our innate connection to other animals.
