Public Eye: Artists for Animals Presents ~

Juxtaposition

ÉWith special guest "Chico the Chinchilla"

A Fur-Free Fashion Show & Exhibit Opening on December 10, 2005 from 8-10pm

 At The Philadelphia Ethical Society 1906 S. Rittenhouse Square:

 

Get ready for an evening of ethical entertainment including music, performance art, vegan food, an exhibit opening, a fashion show and cruelty-free clothing salon! Through wearable art and exhibits, "Juxtaposition," highlights the ironies inherent in our cultureÕs treatment of animals. The fashion show features wearable art and fur-free fashion alternatives, including dog apparel. The exhibits display artists' impressions of fur-bearing animals. Students and local artists created the wearable art and exhibits on display. Fashion alternatives provided by nationally known cruelty-free clothing designers. Clothing and accessories are available for purchase at the salon. Tickets are $15 at the door. Exhibit runs Dec. 5-16, Wed.-Sat., 8:30am-4:30pm and by appointment. Public Eye: Artists for Animals is a Philadelphia-area group that produces public events featuring the arts to shed light on hidden or ignored injustices and to promote a cruelty-free lifestyle. Public Eye formed in January of 2005 to educate people about animal cruelty issues, cultivate compassion through the arts, encourage informed consumer choices and produce collaborative public events. Public Eye is a project of Mobilization for Animals Pennsylvania Inc., a 501C3 nonprofit organization.
